The Africa Women Summit is an annual summit that brings together a thriving community of women in politics, wives of Presidents in Africa, Visionaries, and global experts from different fields of human endeavour in order to share their stories, brainstorm ideas, and launch initiatives targeted at creating sustainable peace and development in Africa. The summit seeks to foster an environment where women have equal opportunities and platforms to participate, engage and influence policies at all levels without intimidation, hindrance, fear, and full support. The African Women Summit is an annual event that brings together a thriving community of women policy makers, change makers, global experts and professionals from all over Africa and the diaspora. The 2 day event provides a platform for African women to strategize and collaborate on shared values and concerns of African women, and create lasting solutions to critical issues of sustainable peace and development in Africa. The event also provides an opportunity for women to engage, network, interact and build partnership with sisters across the continent. The maiden edition of the AWS took place in in Abuja, Nigeria on the 21st April 2018 with over one thousand, six hundred and seventy women in attendance from more than twenty three African countries. The 2nd edition of the AWS took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirate from the 5-6th August 2021, while the 3rd edition of the Summit was in Kigali, Rwanda from 12th-14th 2022. In attendance were over 300 women from eighteen African Countries.The 4th edition promises to exciting and awesome!!
